Mitchell Farms remains a working farm, spread over approximately 1,500 acres. Guests enjoy a variety of interests, from our 100 year old log cabin, to simply learning how peanuts are grown and harvested.
"22 January 1796, William Mitchell willed to his son, Cader, his heirs, and assigns forever one pair of heavy-duty millstones.
William’s great-grandson, Cader Daniel Mitchell, built a water mill in 1845 on Station Creek using these millstones.
William’s great, great, great, great great-grandson Dennis Mitchell now owns this stone. 30 July 1996.
